Precious Metals Refining
Gold Purity
Producing pure gold is both a science and an art, becoming more complex as purity increases. From a standard 99.5% to the exceptional purity of 99.999%, here is an overview of our refining process and some of the gold products we offer, known and trusted for their quality, purity, and security.
Process Definitions
Pre-melt: Doré bars (~70% pure gold) are melted into a molten gold mixture.
Electrolysis: Electrical currents further refine gold to a purity of 99.99% or 99.999%.
Final Casting: Gold is cast to a specific size for either investment or operational purposes.
Purification: Chemical treatment removes impurities from the gold mixture, reaching a 99.5% purity.
Anode Casting: Gold is cast to create anodes of a specific size for electrolysis.
Assay Test: A gold sample is tested to verify the purity.
