The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring an IT Senior Program Manager, Security Projects who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations, the IT Senior Program Manager is responsible for managing the professional relationship between Information Technology and Cyber Security. IT Senior Program Manager is responsible for providing program leadership for the implementation, development and management of a collaborative approach to the communications, reporting and lifecycle management of Cyber Security recommendations, action plans, assessments, testing, and reporting. This role will provide frequent updates to the CIO, Chief Transformation Officer, Director of Cyber Security and the VP, RCM Security, in addition to IT Directors. The role promotes and measures the secure management of infrastructure platforms to ensure IT security objectives are consistently met and that the IT Team is aligned to support operational and organizational security goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans and how they align with both Information Technology and Cyber Security.
- Leads the identification and implementation of collaborative processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish and deliver an effective infrastructure security reporting framework and communication strategy that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful work delivery involving both IT and Cyber Security.
- Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to IT project team members and working groups when utilizing, building or managing cyber security incidents, with a focus on reporting requirements and KPIs.
- Builds and maintains relationships with senior IT leadership and key Cyber Security stakeholders, and acts as a trusted technology advisor.
- Escalation of any concerns with progress on key Infrastructure initiatives to the CIO and Director of Cyber Security.
- Regularly meets and communicates with partners, including IT (CIO, Directors, Senior Managers) and Cyber Security (CSO, Director, Senior Managers).
Requirements
- University degree / College Degree in business or computer science
- Minimum of 10 years of information technology experience in building and managing infrastructure platforms and cyber security technologies
- Previous experience in providing briefings, reporting and communicating to senior level leadership on IT security related initiatives, KPIs and strategic direction
- Strong knowledge of IT and Cyber security frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of oversight of Security priorities for IT Infrastructure on premise and in the cloud
- In-depth knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio and reporting tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to quickly and effectively communicate status and KPI reporting
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and project management principles
- Previous experience in managing, providing oversight for both IT Infrastructure and Cyber technologies
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
