The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Senior Analyst, Sales & Commercial Operations who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations, the Senior Analyst, Sales & Commercial Operations is accountable for the development and delivery of plans, programs and processes, allocating finite resources within a team of a business unit. The role manages the coordination of resources to ensure that work objectives are consistently met and that the unit can achieve operational excellence. In the context of an individual contributor role, the position provides technical/professional services at a professional working level and contributes to providing advice and functional direction on matters of a specialized and established nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements (i.e., commercial deliverables), including financial accruals, obsolescence assessments, variance analyses, etc.; perform quarterly and ad hoc numismatic forecasting; and, maintain the accuracy of the numismatic product plan master file.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Business Planning and Operations, IT, and Business Intelligence & Customer Marketing teams to validate budgeting and corporate planning assumptions and key performance measures.
- Be the primary contact with the Commercial team to resolve DAX and sales channel conflicts; manage product allocations, price list uploads, returns approvals, order issue escalations, future ship dates, sales release percentages, continuity schedule creation, and other DAX related tasks; and, resolve monthly launch issues with key Commercial stakeholders.
- Be the primary Sales liaison for all product quality issues and work with QS and other internal stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner for customers.
- Be the primary Sales contact for production build forecasting requirements and build change requests and identify financial, operational, and customer risks associated with changes to the original plans.
- Provide Sales analytical support for various commercial opportunities and projects; create ad hoc reports for Sales team and maintain existing reporting; assist in modelling realistic and measurable business cases and verification of assumptions and ROI; and, update and maintain business case templates and support all custom product analysis and contracting requirements.
Requirements
- University degree in related area
- Minimum of 7 years of related business experience
- Strong organizational skills and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to present complex concepts or data in an organized, concise manner.
- Team player, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently to manage conflicting priorities. Attention to detail is a must.
- Strong background in business processes and internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability in taking initiative to resolve process gaps and channel conflicts with other internal stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Bilingualism required
