About
STUNNING! Features a gold-plated 3D maple leaf on a 99.99% pure silver coin! Order today!
The maple leaf is a Canadian emblem that has defined many of Canada’s circulation coins. A trueclassic, the 19th-century design of two crossed maple boughs (from 1858 to 1936) helped inspire this pure silver coin, whose reverse is a 21st-century celebration of Canada’s beloved maple leaf. Your finely engraved coin mixes past and present elements. Look closely at the rim—we’ve even included denticles that traditionally framed the bow-tied boughs on some of our earlier coins. All of these elements surround the main focal point: a gold-plated maple leaf. Made from sterling silver and carefully sculpted to achieve a natural look, the 3D leaf adds contrast and dimension that takes our maple-themed celebration to new heights, while the maple leaf’s gold plating evokes memories of a fall day.
Add this stunning 99.99% pure silver, gold-plated 3D maple-leaf coin to your collection today!

Design:
Artist Trevor Tennant offers a modern take on Leonard C. Wyon’s classic maple boughs, as they appeared on various denominations of Canadian circulation coins issued between 1858 and 1936. Two crossed boughs of Acer saccharum are bound together by a ribbon bow and framed by small denticles that line the rim. The maple-themed celebration is enhanced with a gold-plated sugar maple leaf on the coin’s surface. The word “CANADA” and the face value, “15 DOLLARS”, are also engraved on the reverse. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
Did you know…
- The inspiration for this coin, Leonard C. Wyon’s crossed maple bough pre-dates Confederation: it first appeared in 1858 on the Province of Canada’s 10-cent coin … and the short-lived20-cent coin. This unusual and unpopular coin was gradually withdrawn after 1860 and replaced by a 25-cent piece.
- A maple leaf could be found on every Canadian circulation coin issued between 1876 and 1901.
